The #UN University published their #InterconnectedRisks Report: It's a theory about how we can #change our world for sustainable living (and why it is possible): https://interconnectedrisks.org/

When I had the idea for my podcast about #ReconnectingWithNature, a lot of people laughed at it. Now I find this #mindshift again and even some #solarpunk ideas like #care, #humility, #sufficiencyhttps://interconnectedrisks.org/2025/theory-of-deep-change Well, let's start to work on a better world, and fight this minority of destroyers! 1/2

2/2 BTW, before writing that, I searched here for other links, found only old reports and *nagging pure*. Yes, I could sell you the report for the disaster risk, the possible tipping points. I could moan about the horrible world situation.
But the report is indeed an instrument to start #change. If you want to change or #resist, you must analyse the dangers. But you need a #vision, a #goal you want wo engage for!
For me, a great example for #narratives. We don't get change by nagging but acting!

If you know of or are involved with an organization that helps people in a way that the #TrumpAdministration doesn't approve of, and the org is worried about continuing to do their work while protecting their employees, volunteers, and clients, I am happy to meet for free with the org to work through with them what their threat model is and how they can improve their security posture. They can reach out to me on Signal at jik.87. Please boostRequest for reach.

“There is a tendency to think that what we see in the present moment we will continue to see. We forget how often in this century we have been astonished by the sudden crumbling of institutions, by extraordinary changes in people's thoughts, by unexpected eruptions of rebellion against tyrannies, by the quick collapse of systems of power that seemed invincible.

To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.

What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.
And if we do act, in however small a way, we don't have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”
